An attractive, medium sized tree that performs well in urban settings. It grows in an upright form with an oval shaped head. Hop-like fruits and serrated hornbeam-like leaves give this tree it's name. The foliage is green and yellows in the Fall. This variety is tolerant of drought, alkaline soils and is pest resistant.
